Accessible Web Solutions
Designing Web sites isn't merely about a flashy design. After all, if the site isn't functional, what's the purpose? No one can get from Point A to Point B, and they probably won't find the information they need.
If you ask me, the best Web sites are the ones with the best content. And that's where I can help. Contact me.
Railfanning.org
|
Railfanning.org is a railfan's Web site dedicated to the railroad industry.
Started in 2002 by Todd DeFeo, the Web site has grown since that time, adding information about various trackside locations and railroad history features.
Railfanning.org News Wire publishes up-to-date news reports about railroads and the railroad industry, including company earnings, legislation and other significant news events. The library features various railroad-related speeches and industry reports, all of which are available free of charge.
The Web site includes a myriad of content and features, including still photographs, podcasts and a videos. The design of the Web site employs cascading style sheets and blog templates (for both Movable Type and Wordpress blogs).
The Travel Trolley
Launched in June 2009, The Travel Trolley is dedicated to the art of having fun exploring the highways and byways of this great country.
Edited by Todd DeFeo, The Travel Trolley features a mix of photos from the road, travel news and insights, and destination profiles, including the popular tourist attractions and the less-known places that lie a little further off the beaten path.
The best attractions – the ones that barely make the guide book – are those that can only be seen on a road trip a couple of blocks off the beaten path – from a field of concrete corn in Dublin, Ohio, to a tree that owns itself in Athens, Ga.
“Today the American road has no end; the road that went nowhere now goes everywhere,” Henry Ford II said. Luckily, there are endless places to stop along that road to everywhere because, I’ve learned, everywhere is somewhere to see.
